In Dans Data Feminism , D'Ignazio et Klein enregistrent comme principes fondamentaux les données selon lesquelles le féminisme des données, D’Ignazio and Klein register as core principles data that data feminism “teaches us to value multiple forms of knowledge, including the knowledge that comes from people as living, feeling bodies in the world" et que "the work of data science, like all work in the world, is the work of many hands. Data feminism makes this labor visible so that it can be recognized and valued.”

Méthodes

Priorités de collecte de données

Que les paramètres de collecte et d’évaluation des preuves textuelles soient clairement définis.
Cette collecte de données pourrait se dérouler de manière asynchrone et pourtant collaborative.
Que les données collectées soient utilisables dans de futurs projets de cartographie, de visualisation et d’interprétation critique.
Que les outils soient adaptables aux futurs projets de collecte de données en études littéraires.
Que certains principes fondamentaux du féminisme des données – à savoir « valoriser l’émotion et l’incarnation » et « rendre le travail visible » (D’Ignazio et Klein 2020) – soient mis en avant dans la conception et l’utilisation des outils de collecte de données.
