The literary geography of Ann-Marie MacDonald
How to use this map
This map is still in its early stages of construction (and includes only one layer of data so far)!
The map shows data associated with the spatial practices of two secondary characters from MacDonald’s 2003 novel, The Way the Crow Flies.
The pins on the map show individual textual representations.
For each textual representation, qualitative data – for example, associated with focalization, literary function, sense of place, and relational situation – has been collected and is visible to the left of the map when you click on a pin.
For several pins, the data pop-up includes an image of an item from MacDonald’s personal archive, associated with either her research or her writing process.
