Mapping Ann-Marie MacDonald Literary geography and moving through imaginary spaces

Mapping Ann-Marie MacDonald is supported in part by funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council.

Our Goals

To advance scholarly research on MacDonald

We’re working to move beyond existing critical practices that focus on individual texts. We are considering the entirety of her multi-genre oeuvre as a scaffolded, invitational project.

To collaborate in humanities research

We’re developing a novel, shareable workflow for literary data collection that is accessible, interdisciplinary, interactive, and experiential.

To promote collaborative student learning

We’re including scholars and students from the disciplines of English Literature, Geography, and Digital Humanities in this project, as an expression of methodological best practices for interdisciplinary projects.
